Over the years, HR jargon on employee separation has moved from "Reducing Attrition" to "Managing Attrition". There is a subtle but sure difference between the two. Managing attrition accepts that attrition is not just unavoidable but that it is also in many way an essential part of creating the organisation pyramid.
