6 New features releases, 3 problems fixed

New features releases:

Performance management module

  1. Appraisal workflow can now be configured to choose between an appraisee's manager or functional supervisor. This is defined in the Basic section of PMS plan defined in settings. Please note that even if appraiser is defined as functional supervisor, if for a particular appraisee, no functional supervisor is defined or is inactive, the system will pick the manager as that employee's appraiser.
  2. Multi-rater functionality has been enhanced. Now rules around who all can be multi-raters are defined in the PMS plan rules itself. They are defined on basis of roles like Supervisor/Functional Supervisor/Line Peers/Functional peers/Line reportees/Functional reportees/Project managers and the rating process gets automatically inititated for them when review cycle is started. Now there is no need for individual managers to 'Send Mail' to initiate rating process by multi-raters.

Leave and attendance module 

  1. We have added support for MySQL database for the attendance integration utility that runs at clients premises. So now customers with their attendance data in MySQL will be able to use the integration utility to push attendance data to EmployWise.
  2. We have also added support for http proxy to be defined for attendance integration utility. This is useful for customers who have their internet behind a proxy server. The authorisation credentials for proxy server can be defined in the utility's properties file.
  3. Continuing with more and more rich data dashboards for EmployWise, we have release a Leave dashboard this week. Leave dashboard consists of four panels, each having unique leave statistics. Panel one consists of a bar chart which tells us about the workdays lost against a particular function, location, company, business unit etc. Panel two consists of a column chart which tells us about the number of days spent on leave against particular leave types as defined by the organization. Panel three consists of a table which tells us about the top ten leave takers in the particular organization. Panel four consists of a line chart which is showing the month wise analysis of the days lost to leaves.

EIP

  1. We have enhanced security to the reports section of EmployWise, which allows users to generate and develop ad-hoc user defined reports in Excel. Now only those reports will be available to a user, to whose module the user is subscribed.

Problems resolved

  1. Attendance escalation alerts have been enabled also for users with attendance methodology defined as 'Attendance Recorder system'
  2. On submission of a leave application, the Submit button is now disabled to avoid duplicate leave submission by mistake.
  3. The success message on submission of Forgot password request was not getting displayed in Firefox browser. This has been fixed.

1 New feature added, 3 problems fixed

New feature added:

Starting this week's release, we have started tracking audit trail of changes made in some of the employee profile sections. While this history and audit trail is currently not available to view at the front end, the data for the same is being captured by the system. In a subsequent release, the same would be available to view as well and at that time, changes made this week onwards would all be available. Currently changes to Employee family, education, experience, contact sections and General tab of Personal Section are being stored. We would be adding other sections in subsequent releases.

Problems resolves:

  1. A draft saved exit interview form was opening up as blank leading to data issues on submission. This has been fixed.
  2. A problem in displaying validation errors during bulk leave transaction upload, has been fixed.
  3. An & character in file name in a file attached in a leave application was causing an unhandled error. This has been fixed.

1 New Feature added, 1 problem fixed

New feature added:

  1. The common delegation featue released last week also now allows delegation of creation rights and not just approval. This means that an employee can delegate creation of his/her travel request and expense claims to some other employee. Again, the setting up of delegation rights are current done through request to us and are only limited to travel and business expense modules.

Problem fixed:

A problem with defaulting correct value for overseas travel DA, has been fixed.

5 New features added, 3 problems fixed

New features added:

  1. In Databank Search of Employee Acquisition module, saved searches can now be deleted.
  2. A City filter has been added in Databank search which will allow users to search for applicants from specific cities. Multiple cities can be selected for searching.
  3. In databank search, additional filters have been added for selecting based on period when candidate applied. It allows searching on criteria like last week/this week/last month, etc. or specific date range.
  4. Foundation has been laid to allow users to setup delegation rules even when not going on leave. These delegation rules are currently defined from back-end and impact only travel and business expense delegation rules. In subsequent releases, this will be released to end users to define themselves and will cover more modules.
  5. New travel dashboard has been added with high visual graphics and drill down charts. The New Travel Dashboard contains the Statistical Analysis of Travel done within a particular organisation. Dashboard contains four panels, each of which has its own specifications. First Panel(pie chart) is travel Distribution among the different units and second panel(column chart) is for month wise analysis of individual units selected from pie chart. Third and fourth panels are independent entities of complete travel Statistics for selected period and Top ten travel analysis respectively.Now we have an additional second layer which can be generated after clicking each column of the column chart.The second layer will give the complete picture of travel for the selected month from column chart.

Problems fixed:

  1. A problem in saving provident fund details in Benefits tab has been fixed.
  2. A problem in picking time from the correct OD request in case an earlier request of same date was cancelled and then re-applied, has been fixed.
  3. Absence of admin/accounts travel workflow in case of self-approval was not triggerring a proper error message. This has been fixed.

  1. In Attendance reports, Access code has been added 

 Problems fixed:

  1. Handling of special characters in benefit details section of EIP profile has been fixed.
  2. The display order of fields in Reports section was not appearing as defined. This has been fixed.
  3. An Alumni employee uploaded in the system, through upload utility was impacting subscription details incorrectly. This has been fixed.
