Activity Sub Groups

This section helps you in adding an Activity Sub Group. You can do this by:

1. Clicking Time Tracking in Settings section and select "Activity Sub Group"

   Time Tracking > Activity Sub Group

  

2. Enter the group name and select the activity type

   

3. Click "Save"

You can Edit/Mark Inactive an already created Sub Group by clicking on the same

Activity Groups

This section helps you in adding an Activity Group. You can do this by:

1. Clicking Time Tracking in Settings section and select "Activity Group"

   Time Tracking > Activity Group

  

2. Enter the group name and select the activity type

   

3. Click "Save"

You can Edit/Mark Inactive an already created Group by clicking on the same

Activity Types

This section helps you in defining the Activity Types under which the Activity Groups can be classified.

1. Click Time Tracking in Settings section and select "Activity Types"

    Time Tracking > Activity Types

   

2. Click "Add Activity type" and enter its label. Select applicability on the basis of Company, Business Unit, Function and Role Group. 

   

3. Select predefined activity type from the dropdown: i.e Client Project, Non-Client or Business Development

 And define the Adding accounts and projects rule, book time against projects rule as shown in the screenshot

  

4. You can assign this Activity type a color, and that activity will have this defined color in the timesheets.

5. Mark if it is a default activity. You can add also add Tasks and add fields as per your requirement by clicking on "Add task" and "Add custom respectively.

   

6. Click "Save" and the activity gets saved.

Timesheet Approvals

This section helps in defining the timesheet and billable time approvals. Refer to the below steps:

Steps for defining approvals:

1. Click Time Tracking in Settings section and select "Timesheet Approvals"

    Time Tracking > Timesheet Approvals

   

2. Click on approvals, and then select the appropriate option for Timesheet and Billable Time approval as per your requirement:

   

3. Click on Update, the approval gets saved.

Timesheet Rules

This section helps you in creating/managing timesheet rules for time tracking such as who can report time for a particular project, option of reporting time on projects before and after start and end date etc.

Steps for adding Timesheet Rules:

1. Click on Time Tracking in Settings and select "Timesheet Rules"

   Time Tracking > Timesheet Rules

  

2. Click on "Add Timesheet Rule" and enter the rule name.

3. Select the projects to which this rule to be applicable as shown in the screen shot:

   

4. Define the Time reporting rule by selecting the appropriate option.

   You can allow all employees or only the team members to report time for the applicable projects. Refer the screen shot below:

  

5. You can allow to report time before the start date and after the end date as well by clicking "Yes" as shown below:

   

6. By Default all Client Type activities has Billable Time, you can enable the same for Non-Client Type activities as well as shown in the screen shot above.

7. Click "Save" the rule gets saved.

You can Edit the already created Timesheet rules by clicking on the same and save them after making the changes

Manage Time Tracking

This guide helps you in managing/setting the employee time tracking timesheet by defining the Approval setups, activity types, activity groups etc. You can do this by:

1. Clicking Settings on top right hand corner of your screen.

   

2. In Settings section, Click Time Tracking

   

Start setting your module by clicking on individual options. Refer to the related section of this guide for more help.
