Enhancements in Employee Information Module - 31-December-2018

1. Employee Profile View Rights Enhancements

We are happy to inform you that we will soon be making some changes in the Employee profile displays that will give employees options to exercise visibility choices for some Sections of their profile, which will control who can view those sections. These options are being provided keeping in mind the privacy requirements increasingly mandated globally by countries, which state that for information that is deemed to be personal in nature, employees should have options to hide the information from others including their managers.

The following visibility options will be available:

Visibility:
Me, My managers, and HR (Default option)
Me and HR only

These options will be available in the following sections:
Section - Contact

Tab - Contact | Home address | Permanent address

Section - Personal
Tab - General | Family | Language | Custom fields

Section - Education
Tab - Skills

The display of the above sections and tabs will be governed by the choice exercised by the employee. If the employee does not make any change, then the sections will continue to be visible to the employee, his/her Managers, and HR, as is currently the case.
