Creating Absence Types

When an employee takes a long leave of absence such as LOA (Leave of Absence) etc, the employee's absence can be categorized into these created absence types. You can set the employee absence types along with the rules to be applicable during this absence as per your leave policy.

Steps for creating absence types:

1. To create absence types and their rules, click Leave & Attendance in Settings section and select “Absence Types

    Leave & Attendance > Absence Types


2. Click “Add Absence Type” and enter the name of Absence Type. Also, select the checkbox for

i.  Whether this absence type is included in employee’s tenure and

ii. Whether leaves are to be accrued or not during employee’s absence


3. Click on “Save” and the absence type is  created

Edit/Deactivate option:

 You can edit/deactivate an absence type by clicking edit/deactivate option as shown in the screen shot
