Module: Leave and Attendance
1. Restriction on Leave Applications being modified or canceled after a certain period
The Leave type setup now allows a restriction to be set on modification and/or cancellation of Leave requests after a certain number of days of the Leave period as per the Leave Policy of an organization.
If this option is configured by the organization then the number of days is mentioned in the Leave type setup in the Settings after which an employee cannot change their Leave request, whether approved or pending to avoid misuse of reapplication of paid Leaves.
Modifications are allowed in any leave request within the set days and if an employee tries to make amends after the leave period, the system then prompts the user that the leave request cannot be modified.
If you need to configure this feature for your organization please contact EmployWise Support.
2. An employee cannot modify or cancel their Leave request after the set cutoff date every month
EmployWise now also provides another configurable feature in the Leave type setup in the Settings section which now allows a restriction to be imposed on modification and/or cancellation of Leave requests where the employee will not be able to modify or cancel any Leave request of that month after the set cutoff date.
If this option is configured by the organization then the cutoff date is mentioned in the Leave type setup in the Settings after which an employee cannot modify their Leave requests, whether approved or pending to avoid misuse of reapplication of paid Leaves.
Modifications are allowed in any leave request before the set cutoff date and if an employee tries to make amends after the leave period, the system then prompts that leave applications cannot be modified after the cut-off date.
Organizations can configure this feature alone and also in combination with the above-mentioned feature as well. Please contact EmployWise Support for the same.

What is the need?
There are various cases where employee's Late Coming Penalty is wrongly computed because of previous days attendance changes like an employee was late for three days as per shift timings and 4th-day system marked late coming penalty. Now employee regularized his/ her attendance for day 2 then all of the future late comings should be adjusted accordingly.
What has been changed:
Now we have created a program which always assesses employee's current month attendance and late coming and based on that update employee's late coming penalty. This process will make sure that no employee gets penalized because of wrong computation.
As per new notification, P Tax rate has been changed for Tamilnadu (Chennai).
Tamil Nadu (Chennai)

What is the change?
In case of FY change below mentioned additional automated steps will be performed by the system.
1. Deactivate last FY flexi submission on New FY start.
2. Defaulting of last FY flexi as per new plan into new FY.
3. Auto submission of flexi post crossing defined flexi window.
What is the change?
Whenever any employee submits proofs for any tax declaration item, Verifier gets an option for verifying the line item. It has been noticed and has got a feedback that there are several instances when Verifier wishes to re-open such declaration line items. Hence we have introduced a feature for Reopen verified line items.
Once any line item gets verified, Verifier will get an option called "Re-Open". Clicking on this, a confirmation will be taken from the Verifier and Line-item will again roll back to "Pending Verification" State. Now verifier can take action again like Return, Verify.
Purpose:
It happens quite often when employees are performing their action on time (applying leave request) but managers are not taking action within the defined time frame (approving leave request) and which is directly impacting other modules like payroll.
Hence there is a need that if managers are not approving leaves within x days then such leaves must get auto approved.
Purpose:
This feature has been built to solve the purpose when system defined Accounts approver is not able to approve any claim and requires additional help from someone within the organization. Hence Accounts Approver can use an option of "Refer".
How to use this?
1. Login as Account Approver.
2. Visit Caim Screen which you want to refer.
3. Click on the Button "Refer" at the end of the page.
4. Search employee from account to whom you wish to refer.
5. Enter mandatory comments.
6. Post Refer, Referee would be able to take all the action which only accounts approver can take.
There are some companies which include resignation date in notice period calculation hence we have made it configurable that resignation date needs to be included or not in notice period calculation.
