1. The Progress Tracker now has a formal closure

In the EmployWise performance management system, if the plan includes configuration for the Progress Tracker which allows the appraisee/appraiser to periodically check-in or track their progress on the goals and target set for the period, we have introduced a new feature in this functionality. The progress tracking has now been made an event-based activity which will require the appraisee to track progress on the required goals or KRAs and then submit the tracker in order to mark the exercise complete.

The ÔÇÿSubmitÔÇÖ option will now be available at the bottom of the goal sheet for the appraisee and the appraiser to use and complete the activity of progress tracking. The subsequent relevant notifications and Need to act will be triggered thereon.┬á

This feature is readily available for use to all organisations using the progress tracking functionality, please reach out to the EmployWise support team for further details.

1. Introduction of ÔÇÿObserverÔÇÖ in the PMS module

The performance management system in EmployWise has been enhanced with the addition of an 'Observer' who can be added in the PMS workflow through a set of configuration changes.

An Observer will be able to see the appraisals and also add comments at the KPI level wherever required so that the reviewer can take them into account and act accordingly. At the same time, given the number of people involved, action by this role is not mandatory for every appraisal nor for every KPI in every appraisal. The action of the Observer is purely independent and optional in the appraisal process, if no inputs are received from the observer in any of the appraisals, the reviewer will be free to take a call and close the appraisal which will still be visible to the 'Observer'. Thus this will provide the observer to have a voice in the process without the responsibility of rating a large number of appraisals.

This functionality can be configured in the performance plan by navigating to Settings -> Performance Plan -> Selecting the observer as the Functional Supervisor. The observer can also be copied to the relevant system-generated mail notifications; i.e. when an appraisee submits the rating and when an appraiser completes rating the appraisees.

The prerequisite to implementing this functionality is to map Functional Supervisors to each appraisee enrolled in the performance plan so that the correct ÔÇÿobserverÔÇÖ is kept in the loop for each appraisal.

1. Introduction of additional salutation tags in Notifications

The notification tags (or data fields) available in the notifications in the Employee Information Portal, Leave & Attendance, Employee Separation, Talent Acquisition, On Boarding and Performance Management now include the recipientÔÇÖs salutation (Mr. Ms etc) and the Second name.

It is now possible to address notifications to recipients using their salutation and second name (for example Dear Mr. Kumar) rather than use their first names.

Module: Performance Management System

1. A provision to download the appraiseeÔÇÖs profile PDF from the PMS plan has been introduced.

In the PMS module, all the stakeholders will now have an option to download the appraiseeÔÇÖs profile PDF through a link available on the appraiseeÔÇÖs PMS plan screen.

The link to download the profile PDF will be seen in all the tabs in the performance plan next to the name of the appraisee; namely the overview screen, the goals, competency, and so forth.

The profile PDF has been made available in the PMS plan of the appraisee to facilitate the appraiser and the reviewer having easy access to the appraiseeÔÇÖs profile information. The information in the profile contains particulars related to the appraisee's Date of Joining, organisation structure placement, compensation details, previous experience, and education details.

This feature is available to all customers using the Performance Management Module. For further details related to the same, please contact EmployWise Support.

1. Appraisee/Appraiser can reset the goals in the period after the goals are submitted and before they are approved

In the Performance Module, depending on the configuration, the actor responsible for setting the goals/KRAs can now reset the goals between the period of submission and approval.

The appraisee or the appraiser whoever is responsible for entering the KRAs in the application may submit them and will have the option of resetting them, if any changes are required in any aspects of the goals i.e. KRAs, targets or weightages. These changes can be made until the time the next actor (Appraiser or Appraisee as the case might be) has taken any action on the submitted goals.

The appraisees or appraisers can amend any aspects of the goals till the PMS plan status is at ÔÇÿGoals submittedÔÇÖ stage. An email notification can be defined for the same- ÔÇÿGoals ResetÔÇÖ which will keep the appraisee or appraiser informed whenever this option is used.

1. Addition of the KRA/Goal Weightage in the list view of the Goal Sheet under Performance Management System

In EmployWise PMS the list view illustration of goals/KRAs now displays weightages against each goal/KRA which is accessible to the Appraiser/Appraisee/Reviewer/HR. They can view the details of the Goal Sheet by clicking on the List View option. They can see each key result area along with its target and ratings as well when the ratings are complete.

 

The addition of the Weightage on the List view provides a consolidated view of the Goal Sheet to correlate and analyze the significance of each goal/KRA in an easy to read format. 

 

 

2. The Appraisee will directly be taken to the Goal Sheet during Goal Setting 

In order to start the goal-setting process, the appraisee can either select Set Goals by clicking on the Need To Act option available on the homepage of the EmployWise Portal or select the My Plan option under the Performance tab. 

 

The new feature will now direct the Appraisee to the Goal Sheet and not the Overview screen during the process of Goal Setting, after following either of the above steps.

1. Notification to appraiser after ratings are approved by reviewer

Once the ratings are approved and submitted by the reviewer and it goes to HR hold state, an email notification will be sent to appraiser notifying about the rating approval done by the reviewer.

2. Managerial Remuneration / KMP Report Changes

Post releasing this report we have found some feedback on different columns calculation and below changes has been made in report.

1. Medical Allowance and LTA (including arrears) shouldn't be part of pay heads in KMP report
Since the details of Medical and LTA/LTC group are already captured separately in KMP report, separate pay heads of Medical Allowance and LTA should not be included again in the report.

2. Adjustment heads (LTA, Ex Gratia and Medical) will be migrated under relevant head for right calculation.

 

3. Addition of new location inf LWF State

We have added new state Calicut (Kerala) in lwf employers (statutory form)
LWF rule for this location is different from Kerala State hence employees whose work location is Calicut & that location has been mapped in Statutory employers then LWF deduction will be done based on this now onwards.

 

Compensation & Benefits

1. Description field to be added in Comp Plan for each payhead

Purpose:
Whenever we open payhead for employee selection like in Flexi then employee must understand the meaning of that payhead for him/her.
By adding this, it is easy to show description with payhead for better understanding of payhead and employee can choose amounts accordingly for example while submitting Flexi.

1. Improvements in Self Rating by Employee

What is the change?
While submitting self rating by any appraisee, our system calculate total score and that gets submit without viewing to the appraisee.

What's new?
Total Score will be visible at appraisee's end during self rating stage. While doing the self rating, the total score will dynamically change whenever a rating is given on any kpi/competency and also an appraisee will be able to view the total score before submitting the rating to the next level in both goals and competency section.

1. Job sharing option with multiple users for HR.

All the jobs posted by HR (Source must be Website) should be having an option for sharing job with different email ids all together.
Only source - Website because by clicking on URL from email users can see these type of jobs only.

How to see this option?
1. Login as HR.
2. Go to Hiring > Open Positions
3. You will see option of "Share" in fornt of job line item for source website jobs.
4. Click on share and enter multiple email ids for sharing job with them.
